Sex and pornography addiction
Sex and Pornography addiction has been described as a behavioral addiction characterized by compulsive, excessive sexual activity, repeated use of pornographic material until it causes serious negative consequences to one’s physical, mental, social, and/or financial well-being. Porn addiction is one of the most commonly reported sex addiction problems, especially among younger individuals
Sex and Porn addiction develops much like a drug addiction. Like in drug addiction the problems arise when urges to view porn conflict with an individual’s daily responsibilities. Instead of leaving for work on time, the addict may decide to stay at home and watch porn. Many porn addicts report that they end up in a distressing situation where their shameful sexual release is the only positive experience they get to have.

- You might spend too much money on pornography or put yourself in dangerous situations you would not normally be in due to the pornography.
- One may become prone to immoral, antisocial and even criminal activity.
