Vaginismus
Vaginismus is condition in which any kind of vaginal penetration is painful and almost impossible. This is due to reflex contraction of vaginal muscles and is seen during sexual intercourse, vaginal examination or insertion of tampons. This is not done by the woman voluntarily.
Common causes:
- Infection of vagina
- Urinary tract infections
- Sexual trauma sexual abuse, rape or other sexual assault
- Fear of sex, fear of pain during sex, sexual trauma or sexual abuse
- Hatred towards sex
- Psychological stress like traumatic relationship, domestic violence

Vulval Pain
