How Hypnotherapy Works
How Hypnotherapy Works – ETHOS HEALTH CARE
Hypnotherapy is a safe and secure therapy where you are always in management of what is occurring and you are never created to do anything that you don’t want to do. To understand how hypnotherapy works, we first need to understand about the conscious and subconscious mind. The mind is made up of two parts known as the conscious and the unconscious. The conscious mind is the logical, rational mind that analyzes the situations and responds by taking control of everyday decision making while the unconscious mind rules over our emotions and intuition and responds to the way it has been programmed usually in earlier life.
Hypnotherapist works by causing a trance-like state within an individual in which they are fully alert of what is happening in their surroundings but only concentrating on the hypnotherapist’s voice. Nothing can be done that’s against your will. In this hypnotic trance you will be aware of everything. If an emergency arises you will be able to break out of it immediately. Once you are in a trance state, there are a couple of options. The first option is that the hypnotherapist helps you to terminate all your old suggestions and influences and substitute them with the new, better and healthier options that you desire. The second option is for the hypnotherapist is to find the cause that triggered the problem. Once he found the cause, the hypnotherapist has different techniques and ideas to help you explore the experience, heal, and gain a new perspective or a new viewpoint, strengthened by good and positive suggestions. Once in a state of hypnosis, a person is open to different kinds of suggestion from the hypnotherapist. He or she may be able to take control over any involuntary thoughts, negative behaviour or feelings taking place in the unconscious mind.
It helps us to bypass our conscious mind and our ego’s so we can get out of our own way and can teach our unconscious mind new ways. And most importantly, with hypnotherapy, we can have access to all the special resources we might not have even known were there. The amazing thing about hypnotherapy, and why it is so effective, is that once a suggestion is given, it is visualized or imagined in the subconscious mind, it will be accepted as if it were true. For example, a person who has been smoking for years can become and non-smoker and never again feel the urge for a cigarette.
