Child and adolescent counseling
Child and adolescent counseling – ETHOS HEALTH CARE
Today’s children and teens struggle with many common counseling issues, such as depression, eating disorders, broken relationships, suicide, and peer pressure, to name a few. Counseling children and adolescents is often different from counseling adults, though the objective is the same. Methods used in counseling children and adolescents often depend on the clients’ age, development stage and individual challenges.
Teenage is the precious time which is to be cherished throughout life. Child and teenage counseling helps the young people who are not able to deal with their issues. Parents who feel that their children are displaying some abnormal behaviour, can seek help through counseling
A wide range of topics can be addressed in counseling. Some of the topics may include:

In the counseling process the counselor will help your child / adolescent identify more effective strategies to deal or cope with their situations. The counselor will help the child / adolescent look at new alternatives or approaches to their problems. The counselor will also help parents identify more effective ways of connecting with their children, positive parenting, disciplining etc. For parents with adolescent children, the counselor will help the parents deal with challenges of the adolescent phase. Counselors help individuals to find their own answers and make their own choices. They help clients to reduce confusion and gain a different perspective to cope with life’s challenges and make positive changes where necessary.
